Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Race Alpine. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing or using the Race Alpine application ("App"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Account Registration
To use Race Alpine you must create an account using Apple ID, Google, or email and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@racealpine.app if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. Use of the App
Race Alpine is intended for personal, non-commercial use by alpine ski athletes and coaches to record and review training sessions and race performance data. You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, resell, or use the App for any unlawful purpose.
4. Sensor Data Collection
During an active training session, Race Alpine records sensor data from your device, including:
- Accelerometer readings (ax, ay, az)
- Gyroscope readings (gx, gy, gz)
- GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude, altitude)
- Speed and timestamps
This data is collected solely to analyze your skiing performance. It is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored on our servers linked to your account. You may request deletion at any time via Account settings or by contacting support@racealpine.app.
5. Location Data
Race Alpine uses your device's GPS during active training sessions to record speed, altitude, and position, and to detect nearby ski pistes. Location access is optional for piste selection — you may browse manually without it. On iOS, a location indicator is shown while recording is active. Background location is used only while a session is in progress.
6. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of the training data you enter. By submitting data, you grant us a limited license to store and process it solely to provide the App's functionality.
7. Third-Party Services
Race Alpine integrates with Firebase, Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, OpenStreetMap, Sentry, Google Mobile Ads, Amplitude, and RevenueCat. Use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Race Alpine is provided "as is" without warranty. It is a data tracking tool only and does not provide safety guidance or real-time hazard warnings. Always follow your ski resort's safety rules. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Race Alpine shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
9. Subscription & Payments
Race Alpine offers a free tier and a paid "Pro" subscription. Pro is available as an auto-renewing yearly subscription processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Prices are displayed in the app before purchase and may vary by region. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods; refund requests are handled by Apple or Google per their respective policies.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@racealpine.app.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
